When shopping around for various mostly household items including area rugs and furniture I found that not only are they as much as anywhere else, but from what I saw everything was actually more. And when you throw in all of the other complaints about customer service, returns, damage products and missing items, this is definitely not the place I will be shopping at
or recommending to anyone else.

They are holding firm. The agent did share with me some photos so I could “resell it”
I ordered a shower door, which was delivered after about 6 weeks. Because of that, and it being the holidays, I didn't open the box until after the holidays.
I realized it opened the wrong way, and so I contacted Overstock right away about returning it, and they said the return time period was 30 days and it had been 35 days, so they would not let me return it. I asked, 'What should I do with the door because it won't work for me?
Should I just put it in a landfill?' They said, 'Yup.' Completely unethical company. Stay away!

Out of the six items of furniture I ordered two were either defective or missing major parts! For the defective table that incorrectly manufactured they offered me $44 because they don’t have the part
They dont stand behind their products. They sell defective products and offer an amount that doesnt cover what I spent for the item.

Overstock acquired BED, BATH and BEYOND but does NOT honor
the gift cards that were purchased at BED, BATH AND BEYOND before they went out of business. WOULD NEVER purchase anything from OVERSTOCK just for that reason ALONE!!!
Horrible business practice!!! The best is when you call the customer service line and they answer BED, BATH and BEYOND-What a JOKE!!!

Verified ReviewerI ordered an outdoor table and 4 chairs in November 2022. The chairs are all rusted on the bottom. I wrote to their return email and was told to pack them up and send back at my expense. I paid 486.13
An outdoor table and chairs should not rust, even if they're not yet 2 years old. I paid $486.13 only to have all the legs on the chairs rust.
They advised me to pack them up and return them at my expense. Are they kidding? What a great return policy.
So, essentially, I am out $486.13. I will never order anything from them again, and I warn you to check the return policy before you order.

Confusing email about return amounts
Overstock uses an email to tell about a return. Here's the part that is confusing from one of mine.
Product Price $101.48
Product Discount -$24.71
Your Refund $61.39
Obviously, the subtracting the discount from the price comes equals $76.77, not $61.39 (or for the other 3 boxes $62.31, $62.32, & $62.32).
So I called their customer care.
The person was very patient and helpful in describing what the actual numbers were - thanks.
Turns out $101.48 is the item's original price without any discounts or coupons -- not the $90.32 I paid. So in the return Overstock subtracted from the $101.48 the coupon & return UPS shipping cost (4 boxes at $14.46 each). Only they didn't show the math on the email. Therefore, the credit to my account was actually the total of the $62.39, 62.31, 62.32 & 62.32 and that is correct at $248.34.
So if I haven't lost you with the math...
I spent a lot of my time trying to figure out what happened then had to spend 1/2 hour on the phone with the agent just getting to the numbers on the email.
Therefore, Overstock just put the actual numbers on the email, and maybe you wouldn't have lost me and wasted my time. Also spent the cost of your agent's time unnecessarily!

Yes I contacted the company repeatedly. They flat refuse to offer any satisfaction.
And they’re rude about it. It was THEIR ERROR in sending the WRONG ITEM.
I was very excited about my bedding when it arrived, focusing on color, fabric softness, and weight. I threw it in the washer right away, only to discover when putting it on my bed that it was the wrong size.
I confirmed on my order confirmation email what I, in fact, ordered, and then also on the packaging where it confirmed that they sent the wrong size!! I sent photos. They will not stand behind it and refuse to refund my order, even though it is their error in sending the wrong item, which I proved to them. Their 'system' won't allow it.
This is ridiculous! Don't deal with this company.

Defective mattress
I am trying to get through to customer service about a problem I am having with my mattress.
I purchased the mattress several years ago and it is now sinking. It is under warranty.

First of all, I can never log in to pay my bill through the Overstock website. I have to call the bank to make the payment every month.
I can never check my account status or its transactions. I call by phone and they resolve the issue for the moment, but then it's the same. I have a claim to make and they have never been able to do so. I need an explanation, at least for them to explain it to me, but nothing.
And the worst thing is that I contacted Bed Bath and Beyond and they don't speak Spanish. There are many things that affect consumers.
Preferred solution: Being able to speak to someone in Spanish, who can explain or clarify things to me, being able to log in to my Overstock page every month, like all my accounts, and see my transactions because I'm paying blindly.
User's recommendation: They should improve the login, or sign in, to the page, and they should have Spanish-speaking staff for customer service.
